  My name is Mrs. Bauer and I am your child's fouth grade teacher. The 2008-2009 school year will be my seventh year at Elwood School and I truly enjoy working with the children and parents in this community.
  I grew up in Decatur, Illinois and completed my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education at Millikin University in 2002. I have always considered myself to be a "life long learner," and recently earned my Masters of Arts in Education through Olivet Nazarene University. I believe it is important to always strive to meet the needs of the diverse learners in my classroom, and continuing my education has allowed me to do this.
  I have been teaching fourth grade for six years and am amazed each year by the amount of educational and intellectual growth by the students. I am sure we will have a wonderful year of learning ahead of us!
